For December, I mixed the tunes to the WLWF Monthly Mix Up. All Funk 45s I scored mostly at the Platenbeurs in Utrecht, spiced up with some contemporary deep Funk bombs that have been just recently (re)released. Voice by Rich Jammin. Now git!
Let’s do a little round up of gigs I did lately. But to begin with, I’d like to announce a special night in my home away from home (Rotterdam), away from home (Schaijk, where I grew up), away from my other home (Eindhoven), namely Boxmeer. A groovy night together with my pal Dunne Boef of Bloedgroep Kartel infamy, who is also an avid Blues & Funk vinyl collector. Together we’re going to rip the town in two at Cafe De Piek (where else!). Good vibes, nice peeps, gangster tunes.

Last week I was booked at a last minute gig at the Bagels & Beans flagship store in Amsterdam. There was a genuine barista competition going on, and as everybody knows, coffee mixes greatly with vinyl. Saturday June 7th I’m spinning records with my buddy Arne from the Nijmegen Funk-A-Flex team at the gig of Gallowstreet Brass Band at Doornroosje in Nijmegen. GBB is a ten-piece brass band playing hip hop, house and New Orleans-style brass music. Party starts at 23:00, end is late. More info here. Facebook event here.
